Sony, Yahoo, Home Depot, Neiman Marcus, Jimmy Johns, Target.  The list continues to expand.  How are these security breaches happening & lessons learned.
Automobile racing goes from smooth sailing to out of control in a very short time span. So, does cybersecurity. Attend this session and learn from someone that had a "resume generating event" due to one of the largest data breaches of the past several years (Target), and what could have been done beforehand to prevent the breach from ever taking place. Many companies find that the budget required to bring necessary focus to technology security, can be very elusive, and the user experience is often in opposition to security "best practices." This session will help you overcome both obstacles in your company.

Attendees can expect to take away:
    • Real world lessons learned from major recent cybersecurity breaches and how they could have been prevented
    • How to respond to a cybersecurity incident from a non-technical standpoint: public relations, law enforcement involvement, and contract negotiation with vendors
    • How to develop an emotional connection with teams in times of crisis
    • How to make new regulations into a competitive advantage for your company
    • That new technologies offer to combine an improved user experience with tightened security

  • 12:50PM - 1:00PM - Break
  • 1:00PM - 1:30PM - CliftonLarsonAllen, Michael Utz, CPA, CCIFP, Principal
    Benchmarking
Do you ever wonder how your company compares to other contractors? Are you curious if you allocate resources differently than your competitors? Do you want to know what other construction companies see as the biggest issues facing their companies? Then, come see the results of CLA’s benchmarking report taken from its client base across the country. See the balance sheet and income statement trends of companies in the construction industry along with ratios and other useful information.

Attend this session to find out and learn the answers to the following questions:
    • How did 2017 end up for contractors in general?
    • What trends are we seeing in the industry?
    • What might these trends mean?
    • How do things look going into 2018?
    • How does your Company stack up against similar contractors?
    • Where can I get a copy of the benchmark and can you refine the benchmark to better match my Company?
