Now that the 2022 tax updates are behind us, we’d like to tell you about the new software requirements that will affect your ability to perform 2023 year-end tax updates in ProContractor.
Trimble Viewpoint is developing 2023 year-end updates only for customers with ProContractor Release 4.0 and beyond - there will be no exceptions for customers with ProContractor Release 3.16. ProContractor Release 4.0 requires SQL Server 2019. The new date that all ProContractor customers are required to upgrade to SQL Server 2019 is December 1, 2023. Note: This deadline was extended to align with Microsoft’s support timeline for SQL Server 2014 and to accommodate customers that experienced hardships due to COVID-19.
If you have ProContractor Release 4.0 or above, no changes need to be made. And, if you have ProContractor Release 3.16 or earlier, please contact your Sales Representative.
To view your current version of ProContractor:
- Log in to ProContractor
- Click the “Help” button in the top right corner
- Select “System”
- Select “System Information”
- The current version will be listed on the top of the page
Before upgrading your on-premise server, consider moving to the cloud, as this will ensure you never have to worry about server compliance (as we take care of that for you). For more information about cloud benefits, please visit us here.
If you plan on moving to the cloud, we strongly encourage making a plan with your Sales Representative now, in order to give you ample time to complete the cloud migration process before the 2023 year-end.
